LAMELA SIGNING NEW SEVILLA PLAYER CONTRACT EXTENSION UNTIL 2026

Sevilla have announced that they have signed a new contract extension for Argentine midfielder, Lucas Ocampos until the summer of 2026.

The deal will see the 24-year-old remain with the Spanish club until the end of June 2026 and extend his current contract which was due to expire at the end of this month.

Ocampos has been a key player for Sevilla in recent seasons, making over 150 appearances for the club since joining from River Plate in 2017.

He has also represented Argentina at international level, earning 18 caps and scoring two goals so far.

Sevilla's sporting director, Jose Maria Delgado, said: "We're delighted to have extended Lucas' contract, he is an important member of our squad and we're very happy to be able to keep him at the club for another four years."

The signing of Ocampos comes after the club recently completed the transfer of Brazilian winger, Bernardo Silva, who joined from Manchester City on a free transfer.

Silva is expected to make a significant impact on the team, as he brings experience and creativity to the squad.

Overall, the signing of both Ocampos and Silva by Sevilla shows the club's commitment to improving their squad and building for the future. With the addition of these two players, Sevilla will be looking to challenge for honours in the coming seasons.
