Sevilla FC Renews Contract with Lamela Until 2026

Sevilla FC has announced that they have renewed the contract of Argentine forward Lionel Messi for another four years until 2026. The club had previously signed a deal with Messi in 2018 for six years at a reported cost of £45 million.

Messi, who is currently aged 35, has been a major part of Sevilla's success over the past few seasons. He has scored 29 goals and provided 15 assists in 47 appearances this season alone, helping the club to finish second in La Liga.

The club president, José María Benítez, said: "We are thrilled to extend our relationship with Lionel Messi for another four years. His presence on the pitch brings so much energy and passion to the team, and we are confident that he will continue to be a key player in our future."

Sevilla have also confirmed that they will sign a new contract with midfielder Isco, who was also set to leave the club after the end of his current contract. The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder has played a crucial role in Sevilla's attacking play and has helped the club to score 22 goals and provide 11 assists in 44 appearances this season.

Overall, the renewal of these contracts shows that Sevilla remains committed to their star players and is willing to invest in them for the long term. With Messi and Isco both under contract until 2026, it looks like Sevilla will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in La Liga for many years to come.
